I’ve been extremely impressed with Sylvan Learning, where my son has been learning English writing for about two months now. The program is well-structured, starting with basic sentences, progressing to phrases, and eventually building up to short articles. This gradual approach has made writing feel less like a daunting task for him. In fact, he’s actually started to enjoy it! One of the best aspects of the program is that Sylvan lets him choose subjects he’s passionate about, which keeps him engaged and motivated to improve. The instructors are wonderful and truly understand how to make learning enjoyable while still pushing him to progress. I highly recommend Sylvan Learning to anyone looking for a thoughtful, effective, and personalized educational experience!

We highly recommend Sylvan Learning White Rock. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and create a great learning environment for the students. We joined Sylvan a couple months ago with a child who likes school but doesn’t like the work that comes along with it. At Sylvan, he is excited to attend the lessons and is still happy when he leaves. The token incentive really gives him the motivation that he needs to put in the time and complete the work. The teachers are so supportive and our son is always feeling accomplished when he leaves.

The manager of the centre, Melanie, has accommodated our family's needs so beautifully over the three years we have been receiving tutoring from Sylvan. She consistently listens well to what we think our daughter needs and matches up instructors to best suit her learning.

Time and again, our daughter has appreciated how her instructors have explained math concepts differently from her classroom teachers. Sometimes that helps it "click" which helps gain confidence.
