Pastor Brian Childs has been a beacon of light, hope, and strength for the Markham community.

My family has been going to this church since 2008, and I can’t even start to describe the wisdom and healing he and this church provided us. Even when we were away from Markham and during the pandemic, we would listen to his sermons. Despite the challenges we faced in life, coming back to The Bridge, both physically and virtually, was a spiritually replenishing experience.

This church is wonderful, and I have full confidence that the new pastoral team will carry on Pastor Brian’s legacy.

It’s sad to see Pastor Brian retire today, but he is deserving of time to rest and enjoy the next chapter of his life. He’s been a hero in our Markham community, both among the church and beyond its walls. Our community will never forget his leadership and wisdom, and he will always be loved by us.

I’ve been attending The Bridge Church in Markham since New Year’s Eve of 2023, when I first made the decision to start going to church on my own—and I’m so glad I did. From day one, the community has been incredibly welcoming. A friend from high school referred me, and it’s been amazing to see such a diverse group of people from the neighborhood come together to worship God.

The facility is spotless, inside and out, and the renovations done in prior years clearly paid off—it’s a beautiful and inviting space. I also love how accessible everything is: you can join online, rewatch past services on YouTube, and navigate their website with ease. Everything about The Bridge feels warm, modern, and genuinely welcoming.

Even after moving to North York, I still make the 30+ minute drive every Sunday just to attend this church—I’m that comfortable and connected here. I’ve told myself I won’t look for a new church because this one already feels like home.

Visit The Bridge Markham community church on Easter Sunday morning at 9.15am. the church have bring really good spiritual Christian songs singing before the pastor sermon, the people there are really nice to meet & accept you at all in different backgrounds and cultures etc .. address is 5440 16th Ave, Markham, ON L3P 3J3.

I always receive exceptional service at this location. I even get a few little extra fries on the side because she knows how much I love french fries especially churches, chicken french fries thank you.

I attended this church from January 2023 to March 2024. I absolutely loved this church community! The people are welcoming and friendly. The sermons were Bible based and I loved worship. I have moved elsewhere, but I am very thankful that God had me here.

Been coming here with my mom since 2018. Very impressed with the pastoral staff, the congregation and the community as a whole. Very welcoming and makes it easy to digest and understand the word of God. It empathizes its values , gather, group, give, and go (missing one). Every few weeks a new topic and it’s very relevant and applicable to our everyday life. Alway leaving with a lasting impact. The worship is beautiful… we need another worship night it was amazing I brought my partner. Love my church and thank God I came across it as a youth and now a young adult
