One of our favorite meals of our trip. Who would have thought we’d find great seafood in the middle of the Canadian Rockies? The service was excellent, and the seafood was incredibly fresh with amazing flavors. We tried the clam pot, which we hadn’t seen before, and it was absolutely delicious—the size of the clams... wow! We only wished we had more bread to soak up the delicious broth. Highly recommend for any seafood lovers! The atmosphere was great as well! Didn’t have make a reservation however would recommend in peak season.

What a delightful meal. The oysters were delicious, the seafood chowder ( starter) was massive and seafood filled, and the seafood linguine was outstanding. This is a new place but has become a favourite stop as we go through Canmore. Friendly service, delicious food. Well worth the stop!!

We had high hopes for this place considering the reviews…unfortunately this did not meet expectations whatsoever. We ordered the lobster roll and fries, fish and chips and a lobster tail add on. To drink we had a Lebowski and Caesar.

The lobster roll: presented okay but the first bite was not really what I was expecting, immediately it was spicy 🌶️, what in the world was it I couldn't put my finger on it but my mouth was immediately displeased with whatever it was seasoned with and mouth tingled. The roll it was on was actually nice. I thought lobster rolls were supposed to be pretty basic as good lobster doesn't need help with its flavour profile.

The fish and chips: 2 HUGE filets, no problem with portion size but the fish itself was greasy as heck…like, picked it up and it was dripping still and fell apart, uhhhh, what? This is not how fish and chips are done, people!!!

The lobster tail:
Boiled not broiled. Size was small for the $30 price tag (oof) it was rubbery, not even cut for our convenience and the drawn butter had an exorbitant amount of garlic in it (dang near took my breath away!)

Unfortunately even tho the vibe was cool, I highly doubt we’ll be back. Our dinner was $156 when all said and done. Good luck 🤞 in the future guys…we’re moving on.

Stumbled across The Drunken Lobster on a weekend visit to Canmore. This is the first time in a long time that I’ve had an incredible meal out & where I have said I need to go back. I can’t wait to come back and try more! The lobster roll and beef tallow fries were phenomenal. Little pricey but once you get the food it’s 100% worth the price! Such a great hidden gem! And let’s give these guys an award for best fries in Canmore! Cause beef tallow fries are where it’s at!!!

The food wasn’t great. The fresh oysters had no creaminess at all—not sure if it’s the type of oyster or just how they were prepared.

We also ordered the clam chowder and fish and chips. While the chowder had plenty of seafood, it was so salty that I couldn’t finish it.

As for the fish and chips, the cod was very watery, with a disappointing texture. They really should try to remove the excess water from the fish.

Food was really delicious. We took the fish and chips (really fresh fish, amazing taste) and the lobster roll (super juicy and tasty). Also, nice selection of wines - the Oyster Bay Chardonnay was perfect. The service was great too, as was the ambience and the music. I really recommend it!
