The Northwest Company Training Center was super helpful! It gave me a ton of skills and knowledge that I can use to do my job better and help the company succeed.

I want to give a big shoutout to Nana, Christie, Kim, James, and Mike. They worked really hard to make sure we had everything we needed to learn and succeed. They were always there to answer our questions and help us with any problems we had.

I'm so glad I got to be a part of this training program. I learned a lot and I'm confident that I can use my new skills to make a difference in my role. I hope the company keeps investing in training programs like this one because they're really important for helping employees and the company grow and succeed.

The best part is they made me feel included and welcome!

This training center is for newly hired crew members. They conduct training and closely observe the attitudes and behaviors of new recruits. My wife and I were hired at a Dmit C store, and my wife was an MIT (Manager in Training). Unfortunately, after just 15 days of the training period, the trainer terminated both of us based on her biased decisions and personal issues.

We had moved from Ontario for this job, and after 15 days of completing our training successfully, we found ourselves without a job and without a home in Ontario. This has created significant financial hardship for us, especially as we are already facing poverty in Canada and were willing to work in remote northern areas, where temperatures can drop to -50°C and workweeks exceed 60 hours.

Be advised that you might face termination from the training center or even the store where you are assigned. We urge anyone considering this move to think twice, because relocating from the South to the North may not be worth it. They are hiring people from the Philippines for various positions, and the work culture appears to be toxic, fueled by personal egos. If you try to please the trainer, you might get promoted, but if you don’t, you risk being fired.

Additionally, this isn’t the end of our struggles. We sent a lot of our luggage ahead, but when it arrived at our new address, we discovered that one box was missing. The company did not take any responsibility for this loss. This is the untold story of this company; they don't seem to care about their crew members.
