Huge shout-out to The Dojo! My husband and our two boys (5 and 8) have been training there for over a year now and we absolutely love it. The instructors strike the perfect balance of warmth and structure—always professional, always focused on respect. We even hosted our son’s 5th birthday party there, and it was hands down the best party we’ve been to. The Dojo Family is truly one of a kind!

From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re welcomed into a positive, respectful, and uplifting environment. The instructors are outstanding — not only incredibly knowledgeable, but also genuinely passionate about helping each student grow both on and off the mats.

The students and parents create such a strong, supportive community. It’s inspiring to see how everyone encourages one another, whether it’s a child learning their first kata or an adult rolling for their next stripe in Jiu-Jitsu.

This dojo is backed by three generations of teaching traditional Japanese Goju-Ryu Karate, and two generations of teaching Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. That kind of lineage and experience is rare to find and says everything about the depth and quality of training here.

The facility itself is always clean, organized, and well-equipped — a true reflection of the care and pride that goes into running it.

Our daughter had a first visit to the dojo. Very anxious to attend and nerves getting the best of her, she was welcomed with friendly smiles & encouraging words. Once on the floor, she was included in the class as if she’d been there for years. She was a totally different person coming off the floor, begging us to sign her up. Thank you Angelo & Donna (& all instructors/staff) for being so supportive in these first steps in our child’s visit. making what seems like an intimidating environment more like a family friendly community to grow and meet new people/friends. Hosting my child's birthday party here was such an amazing experience for all in attendance! Sensei David was such an amazing Host, and along with his 3 student helpers truly kept my party greatly entertained. From booking my party to executing it, my experience with The Dojo was flawless and light. The space is huge, well divided and clean. I highly recommend The Dojo for your children's parties and look forward to exploring more use for it such as lessons and "Moms Night Out" self defense parties, the possibilities are alot!!! I have always been involved in mixed martial arts and competed as a varsity wrestler. My standards for a Dojo are high and I knew within the first 10 seconds of going to the Orangeville Dojo that they shared my passion and were extremely knowledgeable. What sets this Dojo apart from others, besides their insane talent, is the family atmosphere. Angelo and his instructors are very skilled and make learning at any level a great experience. As a blue belt, I practice with both white and black belts, allowing me to help those just starting and learn from those more experienced. I love practicing at the Orangeville Dojo and I look forward to many more lessons. I would recommend the Dojo for anyone looking to start or continue in martial arts.
