I absolutely love this Thrifty Foods location!
What truly sets it apart is the incredible staff.

I’ve consistently had amazing customer service experiences from team members like Roxanne, Elaine, Dorothy, Grant, and many others whose names I, unfortunately, can’t recall.

Everyone here is friendly, helpful, and goes the extra mile. It makes grocery shopping a genuinely pleasant experience every time.

Highly recommend this location!

Easily one of the most organized and clean stores I've been! Great displays and not too crowded 💯

This store is great. The music is never grating, the lighting is calming, they clearly labelled all the Canadian foods, they often have unique foods you can't find elsewhere or are sold out of elsewhere. The fruit from here has been the best so far compared to other grocery stores as far as perishable items go. The big cherry blossom trees coming from the featured food tables for spring is really cute. The pre-made food is awesome, I love that they sell fish for poké and the people that work at the sushi section are very kind, charismatic and make the freshest grocery store sushi I've had, I'm a bit of a sushi snob and I almost always grab the sushi there when I shop. The aisles aren't too tight, the bulk food section is amazing. They layout feels well thought out. The lineups at the till could be a bit faster but at least they always have their self-checkout tills open if we are in a rush. It's in a good spot of town that's pretty convenient for people coming from Lake Cowichan or North of town. You can see the attention that has gone into making this store a good experience and it's appreciated.

GARBAGE first off the worst “meat” pie I’ve ever had the displeasure of consuming. It was a flavourless pile of crust with barely any fillings unless you like carrots. If you’re looking for beef you came to the wrong place. I’ve included a couple pictures to show you the deception that this place is up to. It used to be called a beef and veggie pie and now it’s called a veggie and beef pie…Why, well you know why. This over priced store is a disgrace and its “meat pie” is horrible. Do better and quit jacking your prices.

I can’t say enough wonderful things about Nelia! Every time I interact with her, she greets me with a warm smile that instantly brightens my day. Her attentiveness and genuine care truly set her apart. Whether I'm seeking help or just stopping by for a chat, Nelia always goes above and beyond to ensure I feel valued. It’s clear she takes pride in her work and loves what she does, and that positive energy is contagious! If you’re looking for exceptional service with a personal touch, Nelia is your go-to person. Thank you, Nelia, for consistently making my experience delightful!

I have been a customer since I moved here 30 years ago. Freshest produce in town (except home grown). A month ago, politics erupted, and I was happy to see that many things became available from many countries, and less from the US. Then I spent a month in Europe, and now I see that most produce is once again available primarily from the US. I notice that many other customers, not just me, pass on US products. Why have the powers that be reverted to supporting a country which is denigrating our country? This is also a financial issue for many consumers, and may be for this store.
