I honestly have to say the service I have gotten from Tip-It has always been superior. Any of the rare issues we’ve had have always been handled with kindness and quickly. The office has amazing staff and I really appreciate the work that the drivers and all other staff at Tip-It do. You are all amazing!

I am not one to do this, but wanted to let people know what kind of business Tip-It Waste Solutions Inc is. 0 out of 5 is I could!

I have been a costumer of theirs for over 8 years, although different locations, over 8 years. I had signed up for garbage pick up when I moved into my house just shy of 2 years ago, and compost when it became available, both of which are not cheap on a single income.
I live along the north end of Pleasant Valley Rd, in Vernon. It can be a very busy road, it's narrow, people speed, and at the best of times it can be quite interesting let alone in the winter.
The Tip-It driver refuses to pick up my compost bin traveling north bound towards Armstrong, which is where Tip-It is located. Apparently he only drives South, towards Vernon. So because of this they want me to place my bin ACROSS THE STREET on Pleasant Valley, in front of the apiary. This is not my property.

It doesn't matter that I pay for a service to be picked up curbside at my driveway. It doesn't matter that my own safety is compromised.
I have cancelled my Compost because it is not safe for me to cross the street with the 65 G bin and I don't pay money to do that. And I have cancelled my Garbage pick up because another company is way cheaper.

This was Tip-Its reply:

"I have cancelled your account as per the dates you request, please have the bins rinsed and placed out for our guy to take them.
I apologize that you feel our drivers safety isn’t a concern for you, I have CC’d the Route Manager in this email so he knows the circumstances of the cancellation."

So, it is apparently MY fault because I am not concerned for the drivers safety? Needless to say I sent a very angry reply back and good riddance. Tip-It does not care about it's customers, and they will just gaslight you if you bring up a concern.

I have never had a problem with the garbage being picked up curbside at my driveway, but the compost can't be? The issue of it not being collected curbside was never communicated until I noticed my bin kept being moved across the street and so I had to take the initiative and email the office.

I work for one of Western Canada's largest transportation companies, in the Safety Department, and I am also a co-chair on that companies JHSC. I know safety, that is my job.

For a supposed family run and operated business, this situation is not only unsafe for both driver and customer, it is ridiculous business practice on Tip-Its part.

Please consider switching your garbage service if you are like me and outside City of Vernon limits.

The service provided in a timely matter each week is outstanding. my kids look forward to when the truck pulls up. they love watching the truck pick our bin up. The driver is so friendly and happy always waving and giving a quick air horn for the kids. they absolutely love this. Thank you for the amazing service and friendly jester. Tipit drivers have always gone above and beyond during their service, even picking up the trash after crows had picked the bags apart. The office staff is always helpful and work to get any issues corrected right away.

Customer service is not a priority.
I have been really disappointed with how Tip-It has chosen to respond to an ongoing issue I've been communicating with them about.
Their local driver did a relatively small amount of damage to our property (less than $300), so I asked to be reimbursed, and for their manager to talk to the driver so it didn't happen again.
Instead of simply closing out the issue by paying us back for the damage we had repaired, this manager made some unreasonable demands including video evidence of his driver causing this damage (to add to the pictures and other evidence I had already provided)...
This all happened months ago, and to top it all off - their driver did the same thing again a few weeks ago, causing another round of repairs (this makes 3 times for the same damage to our irrigation system)! This shows me that either the driver was never spoken to, or this company simply doesn't care. Either way, I'm not interested in continuing to use their services and we'll be switching providers.

We have encountered recurring issues with Tip-It waste solutions. Specifically, the waste collector has demonstrated improper handling of our waste bins, resulting in damage. I have formally notified her supervisor to lodge a complaint, but have not yet received a response. Our bin has exceeded the 50-pound weight limit by approximately 10 pounds; rather than leaving a notification, the collector has discarded the lid by throwing it and departed.
