I’m very happy that I went to the store and met Vince, who was so helpful explained everything to me and ordered me something that wasn’t in the store. Then helped me with all of the sizes of baseboards that I needed. I would highly recommend this store. 🇨🇦

Ashley and Ali were friendly and helpful. The same can not be said about Sandy or Sally ( manager ). I was requesting to a replacement on an item that was defective. All she kept saying was i can only refund you on the clearance item and not the regular item. If she stopped and actually listened to a customer. She would get it right away that i am not asking for a refund / money back. I try help a local store and its also a bit more convinient and this is the headache i get. A big box store would have better trained staff and maybe better to go that route in the future.

Story:
I purchased a shut of valve on clearance ( reciept stated missing drain cap ) and purchased a similar shut of valve at regulare price thinking that i can keep one as spare since i had one fail on me in the middle of winter in the evening. So i installed the regular priced shut of valve and it was leaking from the drain tube and exit port when the valve is closed. So i installed the spare one and used the cap on the spare one.

I went back to the store with the regular priced valve with a missing cap since it could be easily switched out and i dont need it anyways. So after a couple back and forth i told Sandy about the issue and she was persistent about doing a refund at the clearance price. I kept telling her that i need a replacement not a refund. She kept saying that since it didnt have the cap that its the clearance and that she couldnt give me a replacement cuz its missing the cap. I told her you can give me a new one and we can switch the cap. I dont need it. After getting me all worked up. I said ok i can come back with the cap then you can replace it. I told her its fine as long as i get a new valve with a cap. She was adamant and based on what i can tell she is saying i want a replacement and want everything including the cap present even though i clearly told her previously and multiple time that i dont need it. My guess is she thinks i was trying to cheat them. I told her why would i go through the trouble of sodering it in. Then removing it since its defective and sodering the spare on just to cheat for a valve. Then she suddenly comes up with a bright idea that we can swap the caps. There was none in stock and the next shipment was tues. I said i am fine with that since its a spare. I am all worked up but keeping my composure. I came back the next weekend and valve was replaced and cap was switched. Manager should first learn to listen, deescalte and actually understand instead of judging and being confrontational since she thinks i was cheating them. Maybe due to my background being oriental asian. She tought she could get her way or push me around. But its the principle.

5 people in line at customer service, no employees behind the desk to help. I asked around and was told that I could be helped at the desk. The cashier paged someone to help and still nothing. I went back and told them again and they paged the manager and still nobody to help. I would expect a manager to know how to run a store better.

Went into the store to buy ant traps on sale. Found a number of packages with a $4.77 sale tag in front of the packages. When I got to the cash they were $7.59. Manager called. She said it was a mistake. I selected another package and went to cash. This package was wrong too by over $3. The manager didn’t offer to honour the prices displayed. Apparently customers are expected to check the SKUs of everything they buy here.
