I am a UVIC student other than university charging us a really high fee as I am an international student and food on campus is really expensive. Everything is really good we have good cafes to visit good places and buildings to study or relax and also an engineering lab wing lounge where you can get good and tasty snacks for a really low cost as low as $0.50

I went here for my doctorate and my partner for their masters and undergrad. I have taught a few courses there as well.
- As others have mentioned, the program for assisting those with disabilities is an absolute disaster. They will automatically treat you like you're lying and make every step of the process as challenging as possible.
- The administration runs it like a business and doesn't even try to hide how little they care about your education. They want you to give them money and not ask for anything.
- Soulless. There's nothing distinguishing about UVic. You won't find unique clubs, unique buildings, unique people, unique events. Just a middle-of-the-road university with middle-of-the-road faculty and students.
- Most importantly, I have witnessed how they treated a friend of mine who was assaulted by a TA. Even with other students backing up the claims, the school denied everything. My friend sued the school, and their lawyers painted her as crazy and it really did a number on their health. Absolutely zero concern or desire to figure out the truth.

They do not care about you.

I am not proud to have graduated here. I would not do it again.

so over the parking scene at uvic. i leave 30 mins before my class (i live an 8 min drive from campus) and still am late to most classes because i can’t find parking, even tho i pay $80 a month. yes i could take the bus, but my route takes whole hour to get to campus that way. do better.

I was admitted to UVIC with 94% high school average as a person with multiple undiagnosed mental disabilities. After only a year I can only say UVIC is a nightmare for disabled students like me. They have a centre for "accessible learning", which is supposed to offer support, is full of staff whom lack understanding and empathy, often feeling like a barrier than aid. Even after a painful process of official diagnosis, I was faced with zero support and empathy despite the efforts I kept making. I have made up my mind and decided to quit my studies at UVIC; subpar academic teams and absolutely disappointing programs and curriculums (especially BCOM).

Campus is beautiful in the summer, but still has lots to see and enjoy all year round. Lots of green spaces and places to walk. It feels like a small campus, but keeps going as you walk around, including the ring road with access by bus or car. They even have a parking lot for Evo share cars.

Campus is beautiful but everything else sucks, classes are clown shows, a lot of the professors are too. parking is often none existent even though you have to pay 80 bucks a month for it

Unique university, with staff willing to go above and beyond what was needed.

The tour of the campus was outstanding.

The student employees and volunteers were great.

I suggest going to their site and booking a tour.

Maps of the campus are available online.
