Have really enjoyed working through the Hips foundations program , with 7 sessions left to complete I definitely feel the benefits.

After 3/4 years of exploring and trialling different programs, this program has seen a reduction in limitations/pain and an increase in lower body strength.

Most importantly walking, sitting, standing are all more comfortable and I feel like I can now progress my training after establishing a functional baseline.

The program is challenging yet enjoyable. Full of very specific novel movements which clearly help to retrain the hips and supporting muscles into new, functional patterns.

The app is great and easy to use.

Thanks again to Carla and and the team for putting this together.

Looking forward to completing the foot foundations program shortly and exploring Vital's other programs!

Can not recommend this team enough. Vital has been unquestionably the best crew to work with over the past 2 years. Especially Rick Canning helping me start my triathlon journey with an ironman 70.3 last year all the way to a sub 12 hour full distance IRONMAN. A lot of care, consideration for my training with in a very busy career, and progressing my training to levels I am beyond satisfied with. The knowledge this team has is impressive and looking forward to keep training and learning more from everyone! (PS. The workshop by Nick and Carla was the best thing I have invested in, incredibly useful information and breakdown of physiology and biomechanics)

Nick and Carla have really unique exercises for correcting dysfunctional movement patterns. I was able to run a Half Marathon without injury for the first time after a multi-decade history of running injuries. I feel like Nick rebuilt my feet and calves from the ground up.

I had the pleasure of being coached by Rick Canning while training for the Canadian Death Race. Rick is knowledgeable, engaging, attentive and flexible. He made numerous changes to my program to accommodate my hectic schedule, and he was always willing to tailor my program to allow me to take advantage of opportunities to get out in the mountains with friends. With Rick’s support, I achieved my goal of completing Cactus to Clouds in Palm Springs in June 2024, and the Canadian Death Race in Grande Cache in August. I would recommend Rick as a coach to anyone looking to build up endurance. Thank you for all your help and support Rick!

I have had multiple injuries in my patella and struggled with jumping to my full ability. As I began to consistently work with the team at vital, I saw a huge improvement in my overall knee health. I used to wear a knee brace as my knee had a subluxation. After I started working with vital, no knee brace was needed. Although the focus was on my knee. New strength was found across my body!

I injured my shoulder 2 years ago skiing and saw many different professionals trying to find out what was wrong. I could not lift my arm above my shoulder without pain. After a year post injury I had very little improvements so I decided to start seeing Carla for strength training. We worked through different strength exercises and mobility, progressing weights and movement patterns when my shoulder pain allowed. I couldn’t believe that after 4 months of working with Carla I am now able to do chin ups, push ups and lateral raises pain free! My shoulder is stronger than it was before injury. Carla was able to adapt exercises to tailor to my needs and injury. I am so grateful for Carla’s expertise and knowledge to help me through my injury!

I cannot say enough amazing things about my time working with Carla and the great team at vital. I came to vital after dealing with chronic back pain for years that seemed to just get worse as I struggled to find a way to manage it. As former varsity and pro athlete being active was something I valued and I was at a point that any activity made my back seize up let alone simple movements like rolling over in bed or getting dressed. As soon as I started working with Carla I started to see slow progress of getting stronger. From the beginning Carla has put together a strength program for me that slowly pushed me slowly to get stronger as we found movements that built the strength and stability my back needed. Every week I could tell recovery time in between spasms was shorting and slowly I began to get back to activities that I had given up on. I was back to spending weekends with my family playing tennis, golf, volleyball, biking, skiing and finally doing it all pain free. It has been a lot of hard work to get to the point I am at but I am forever grateful for the guidance, patience, and knowledge of Carla. I have been working with Carla for over a year and I am now stronger than I have ever been. I cannot recommend this team enough if you are dealing with chronic pain, have an injury or just looking to get stronger.
