Was on a wee golfing trip with my gf. We shopped at this ultra cool store. There were plenty of sale racks and such neat merchandise! Susan was so friendly too!

Walkers General Store...
The owner of this place needs to learn some GENERAL people skills, have some GENERAL compassion, empathy and GENERAL respect towards her fellow human beings.

Context:
My husband (a cancer patient at TBCC) entered this store last weekend while having a medical emergency and asked to use their washroom. He was reluctantly allowed. Upon exciting the washroom he was belittled, humiliated and yelled at by this woman (using that term loosely) in front of another staffer and a customer that he had made a mess and a smell and he had been allowed to use the bathroom for a quick pee only. He was horrified at how he was treated and was almost in tears when he told me. No one, especially a person with a diagnosis such as his should have had to be disrespected in this way. NO EXCUSE!

We came out to High River from the city for a nice change of pace on a Sunday, to have a nice family brunch given the stress his recent diagnosis has inflicted on our family. To experience a little small town Alberta hospitality on a beautiful day. To say we are shocked and saddened by this treatment is putting it lightly.
When we went back into the store to address the issue, we were again met with hostility, accusations and deflection of her earlier horrific and demeaning behavior. We were again yelled at, lied to and made to feel extremely unheard or valued. We walked out as there was no way of getting through to this individual that she had been very inappropriate and created extra stress for my husband and I.

When I mentioned that I would be going to social media to share our experience, I was met with a "is that a threat?" no my dear, it is a PROMISE! you have no business dealing with anyone or anything with the lack of people and social skills you possess. Perhaps you'd feel more comfortable ordering animals around at the Zoo because you have the humanity and empathy of a rhinoceros.

Absolutely so disappointed and mad this place advertising heartland products and didn't have not one things, NOTHING...NOT TO MENTION SIGN ON DOOR SAID BE BACK AT 10, YEAH DONT BELEIVE IT, do not suggest shopping here

Awful, the lady that works in here is just plain rude and screamed at 2 customers. This place needs to be shut down, they embarrass their customers, and believes that honest reviews and criticism = threats. I believe this place would thrive under better staff. God awful experience.
