Wow, we had such a great experience here! The workers were amazing, the house/stable is beautiful, surrounded by beautiful orchards.
The stables have over 15 strong incredible horses which they had us fill out a form allowing us to ride the horses for free. There's a little sitting area where you can sit and stay warm with a heat lamp above you as well as they have a little couch area where you can sit to stay warm ( I personally found the washroom to be the warmest) 😁 Also in the sitting area where you can view the people riding the horses they have a section of cowboy boots that you can put on to not wreck your own shoes ( if they fit). They also allow you to help do small chores around the stables like cleaning up 💩, and brushing the horses etc.. They also have kids classes who join in after school to ride and help clean the horses! If you're looking for something for your little bit be to get into( I'm not sure of all the detail though so please don't quote me on this).
My class and I do this every month and everytime it's just a blessing to work with these animals❤️

This facility is rapidly on the decline. My daughter rode there for quite some time but the lessons were terrible and only got worse by the end. At one point another child was teaching her. It is extremely disorganized and the horses will be worked even if they are limping. Zero structure for the students. Quite the disappointment in the last year. Horses live in a space that is not maintained or cared for. One teacher is really good but wasn’t usually there when our lessons took place. It’s a shame that such a nice place is falling apart.

This stable is horrible. It is run by a bunch of young, inexperienced teenaged girls. Zero horsemanship or knowledge. My son took lessons for over a month and did not learn a thing. The horses stand there for hours without food or water and are not treated well from what I saw. The barn itself is nice, but is simply a façade for how the horses live. Will never go back.

I would absolutely recommend West Kelowna Stables to anyone, young and old! At 30 years old, I inquired about beginner lessons and it's been the best decision i've ever made! The instructors Debra and Henry are knowledgeable and fun and an absolute pleasure to learn from! I love the horses i've been able to work with so far, riding and even out of the saddle! Definitely a very positive environment to learn !

My son and I started about 2 months ago and the instructors are amazing! The facility is amazing and so are their horses!
Fair prices, knowledgeable staff, family oriented. Always welcomed with a smile! I highly recommend!!!!

All of the instructors are so welcoming and knowledgeable! Everyone makes you feel like you are part of the barn family and I never feel “judged”. Beautiful facility, I am learning so much as an adult rider. Very happy they are in West Kelowna and part of our horse community. Highly recommend.

West Kelowna Stables is a wonderful and welcoming farm and stable to visit and ride at. We have been taking our young granddaughters here for riding lessons since October 2021 and it has always been a very positive experience. The girls have always enjoyed the great learning experience they get from on the ground grooming lessons to their actual riding. Dennis has been amazing with both of the girls and made their lessons fun and interesting while they learned and progressed more each time. Dennis' light hearted way with the kids while still having a very productive lesson is awesome.
The girls have also had a couple of great lessons with Shae who also had the girls moving forward while they were encouraged in such a positive and fun way.
The owners Randy and Margie are a pleasure to know and have opened their farm for others to enjoy and experience the Western Horseback Riding experience. Such a beautiful spot and a friendly place to hang out. The kids also love the cats and the chickens!
The great new addition of an amazing indoor arena just added to making this a great barn to ride at! Highly recommended!! ❤ Thanks everyone!

Fantastic experience and beautiful yard!
My boyfriend and I came for a lesson today, both completely different levels of riding but we wanted to ride at the same time. We had two trainers in the arena with us and they managed to cater to both our needs perfectly and we learnt loads about riding Western. Super relaxed approach and didn’t rush us out the door when our time was up (in fact bought us another horse when one of the ones we were using needed to be used for another lesson!)
You can tell how much love and care goes into the horses, they all were in great condition and happy.
