Western Heights Westoak has been great for us, my son has been attending for 3 years and we only have positive things to say.

I feel good about dropping off my kid here with teachers and staff who are highly skilled, caring, and kind.

There is a great culture around creating the right environment for children to thrive with the Montessori approach. They are always willing and prepared to address questions and concerns while also being proactive in informing us about any issues.

The curriculum is rich, engaging, well-rounded and has helped prepare my son for his next steps.

From the very first day, the warmth, dedication, and love shown by every single educator have gone far beyond anything we could have hoped for.

The care, thoughtfulness, and genuine passion every educator brings is extraordinary. They see and respect each child as an individual, meeting them where they are and gently guiding them forward. Our daughter has thrived under their care — not just academically, but emotionally and socially. She has grown into an independent, confident, and curious little person, and we credit so much of that to this community.

What sets this Montessori apart are the meaningful, enriching experiences they offer every single day. From yoga sessions that promote mindfulness and physical awareness to Mandarin and French music classes that introduce global languages and cultural appreciation, each activity is carefully selected to support holistic development! The curriculum reflects a deep commitment to fostering well-rounded, confident, and curious learners.

There are not enough words to express the gratitude we feel for everything this school has given our daughter — and our family.

This has been our son’s second year at Western Heights (WestOak), and once again, we are incredibly grateful for the warmth, care, and dedication shown by every teacher and staff member. Watching him grow, thrive, and genuinely look forward to going to school each day has been such a joy for our family.

From learning new languages and yoga to singing and creative activities, the effort behind every lesson is clear—and so appreciated. The regular updates through the app make us feel connected and reassured, and it’s obvious how much heart goes into everything the Western Heights team does.

We love this school! Its amazing to see when your child comes home and looks forward to going to school. The teachers really care - they do amazing activities at school including learning different languages, yoga and singing! Teachers send daily updates through an App. Our interactions with the staff and others at the school have been fantastic - they all feel like that they want to be there and care for the kids. We know all of the activities take a lot of effort - thank you! Highly recommended.

Our daughter started in the toddler class this year. She is the first of eight grand children in my family to go to Montessori/daycare. My sisters now regret not sending their kids here. I have 0 complaints. We are so happy!

My daughter wakes up every morning excited to go to school… and that’s a testament to the love the teachers have for their students. My daughter needed a bit more support at the beginning, and every photo I saw and every time we picked her up, she was holding onto one of the teachers. They treat her like their own. The class also does the Montessori activities that I read about in the Montessori books or see on social media, but never got around to doing. She is also eating such a healthy and variety of food that it has helped us at home overall made her a better little girl. There’s an app and they send photo updates and reports daily.

Our child has been attending WHMA Westoak Campus since he was just 2 years old, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The teachers in both the PreCasa and Casa programs have been amazing—so kind, caring, and always willing to help. They’ve created a nurturing environment where our child has thrived, building wonderful friendships and gaining independence.
Communication with educators is always easy, whether it’s in person, over the phone, or through their app. We always feel confident knowing our child is in safe and loving hands.
The supervisor also plays a big role in making the school feel welcoming and secure for everyone. She is approachable, professional, and genuinely cares about creating the best environment for the children.
We highly recommend WHMA Westoak Campus to any parent looking for a safe, supportive, and enriching Montessori experience for their little one.

My child attended WHMA for about 4 months (including a month of summer camp). The teachers never volunteered any information about my child’s day beyond the first couple of days. Drop offs would be understandably busy and not the right time to chat. The teachers would rarely be present at pickup - children would be under the care of floating staff. When they were, the answer to “how was their day” would be “good”. We had to ask very specific questions to get any info out of them. We were really questioning if our child was being paid adequate attention, especially since they are quiet and reserved. Our suspicions are stronger now that we see our child walking in with a smile to their new school just 3rd day onwards - something that rarely happened at WHMA and never in the first couple of months.

3 weeks after the school term started, I asked for a 10-15 minute phone call/meeting with a teacher to discuss some of our concerns. It never happened, despite reminders. I was repeatedly told they were working on it. 4 weeks after I first requested this meeting, we sent our 60-day notice. I was expecting to be asked if I still needed that meeting but there was no mention of it ever again. It just tells me how little the teachers and the supervisor care about a parent’s concerns. It was an absolute dealbreaker for us. There were other things I wasn’t exactly thrilled about like the amount of processed and sugary food on their menu and their push for learning mandarin (because the owner is Chinese), but the staff’s indifference takes the cake.

ETA: Not sure which 3-4 weeks is being referred to in the school's reply. My child attended 4 weeks of summer camp before school term started. I waited for 3 weeks after start of school term to give it more transition time. That's a total of 7 weeks. All those 7 weeks, I tried to communicate with teachers in different ways and was never satisfied with their response. Also not sure why they say "if we missed your request". They certainly did, and admitted it in an email to me.

Highly professional team, lovely teachers, excellent parent-staff communications. Mrs. Burchell, the school supervisor, is fully hands-on in all children-related matters which assured me that my daughter is getting attentive care. I am very grateful for Mrs. Lindou, Mrs. Shayma and Mrs. Slakhu’s highly professional and caring method of teaching and the way they treat children. I highly recommend this school! My newborn child will definitely be joining Western Heights - West Oak campus as soon as she is eligible to attend ♥️
